Mission: We need to warm up this potentially ‘too corporate’ feeling new office, as well as have more tables and chairs for informal meeting areas.
Services: Design and fabrication, construction management on custom elements, and general go-to people for needs, material suggestions, and referrals.
With a need to fit 400 people into a very large space, cubes are often the most economical and efficient choice. But no one really likes them. They all too often give a sterile and overly corporate feel. Many times, this can be a clash with the internal company culture. It's also hard to find sustainable office furniture in general, and the needs of 400 people can't be served with cubes alone. Faced with these problems, SunPower contacted us to help them break up their cube system with warm, colorful, sustainable furniture, as well as to help them locate the materials and services they would need to realize the rest of their bold vision for their new office.
Services: Space planning, Custom design and fabrication of decorative architectural elements and furniture, ‘Cool stuff’ shopping
After meeting with the whole office and taking notes on all the needs and wants of the staff, we came up with the “Victorian / Steam Punk” asthetic that became the theme for this space.
A 3,000 sqft space, now filled with individually customized desks, a pool table with a wall sized ‘world domination map, a Video game room with Giant Squid pillows, a bar with built in kegorator, and a secret door to the Captain’s Lounge.
